Gangtok, 7th January: The Bharatiya Janata Party, Sikkim State organised a State-Level Organisational Workshop at its State Office in Singtam, on Wednesday, bringing together senior leaders and party functionaries from across the state. The programme was attended by former Lok Sabha MP from Assam Dr. Rajdeep Roy, National Spokesperson Sardar R.P. Singh, State President D.R. Thapa, along with state office bearers, Morcha functionaries, district presidents, general secretaries and mandal presidents.
Addressing the workshop, Dr. Rajdeep Roy guided participants on organisational formation and functioning at various levels, stressing clarity in role distribution, coordination mechanisms and the importance of social programmes in strengthening the party’s grassroots outreach. State President D.R. Thapa highlighted the organisational growth of BJP in Sikkim and emphasised key initiatives of the Modi government, particularly the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) scheme. He underlined the need for party workers to actively disseminate information about the scheme and work collectively to further strengthen the party’s presence in the state.
State Vice President Bharat Dulal spoke on the history and steady growth of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Sikkim, while National Spokesperson Sardar R.P. Singh emphasised cultural integration and unity across India’s diverse social landscape. He also highlighted the strategic role of social media, traditional media and the BJP IT Department in communication, narrative building and countering misinformation in contemporary politics.
The workshop served as a platform for discussion and renewed commitment among party workers to strengthen the organisational structure and advance inclusive development goals under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to a press statement issued by the publicity wing of BJP Sikkim.
