Citizen Action Party forms Unit Volunteers Council at Melli Gumpa Ward

Melli, 8th January: Citizen Action Party–Sikkim has formed the Unit Volunteers Council (UVC) at Melli Gumpa Ward No. 2 under Mellidara Paiyong GPU in the 12–Melli Constituency, further strengthening its grassroots presence in the state.

The UVC was constituted during a meeting held at the residence of Bijay Pradhan, Vice-President of the Party’s Driver’s Council, Melli Constituency. As per a press release issued by the party’s Press and Publicity Council, the office bearers of the Unit Volunteers Council were unanimously appointed during the meeting.

Sanjay Tamang was appointed as UVC Chief Coordinator, while Sita Rai was named Vice-President. Nira Devi Pradhan will serve as Secretary, Ravi Tamang as Youth Coordinator, Bindu Pradhan as Women’s Coordinator, and Shanti Rai as Treasurer.

The meeting was chaired by Amber Khulal, President of Citizen Action Party, Melli Constituency, and was attended by party spokesperson Albert Gurung, Namchi District Youth Coordinator Damber Chettri, Melli Constituency Women’s Coordinator Kamala Rai, along with other party workers from the ward.

As per the press release, the formation of the UVC reflects Citizen Action Party–Sikkim’s commitment to people-centric politics, participatory democracy, and grassroots empowerment.
